- Must be able to write and edit programs using CAD/CAM, programming and make tooling offsets.
- Requires firm understanding of blueprint reading and extensive experience in the manufacturing of parts and tooling.
- Produces Wirecut/EDM programs for the Wirecut/EDM machines and Superdrill machines ensuring that programs are error free, produced timely, and user friendly.
- Inspects completed components for size, precision, and location accuracy.
- Maintains Wirecut/EDM print control through updates of programs.
- Responsible for the maintenance of the Wire EDM filing system.
- Work with the other Wirecut/EDM machinists, Product Designer and Tool Room to maintain Wirecut/EDM machining standards.
- Troubleshoots, maintains, and corrects minor problems with the Wirecut/EDM machines.
- Perform machine maintenance.
